Muslim Evangelism in Benin
The seven young women in Benin, West Africa, pictured above, rode bicycles over open country for many kilometers so they could learn about evangelizing Muslims for Christ.
These women are from Muslim villages. But they want to see Jesus transform their people the way He has transformed them. At the end of their long journeys, Light for the Lost resources were waiting for them!
Missionary Mark Brink (pictured here with a Benin Assemblies of God pastor), director of Global Initiative: Reaching Muslim Peoples, came to Benin with LFTL-funded resources to conduct evangelism training in Parakou and Kandi for more than 150 believers.
In West Africa, Islam is often mixed with animism. Sharing the gospel of Jesus always results in a significant amount of spiritual warfare. Boldness in the power of the Holy Spirit yields results, however.
This is evident in many new Muslim background believer (MBB) churches planted there in recent years.
Evangelism resources funded by LFTL include FireBibles, books written about Islam and Muslim ministry, and evangelism training materials used by pastors.
Thank you for helping LFTL provide the funds Mark and his team use to equip workers with evangelism resources in such gospel-resistant areas.
In addition to West Africa, missionaries use LFTL funds to amplify evangelism outreach to Muslims in Europe and Asia. Every year there are applications for LFTL funds in the Philippines, Indonesia, Holland, and elsewhere. In 2023, Global Initiative missionaries will need LFTL funds to provide evangelism resources needed for projects in Southern Asia and Pakistan.
